Looking for something dog friendly to do in Oxfordshire and the surrounding area this weekend? Then you have come to the right place.
This week we focus on the Wild Play Trail at Basildon Park.

The Wild Play Trail is set in the beautiful woodland at Basildon Park, and features 20 different play stations including a wooden xylophone, a sensory room, log bridges and so much more.
Basildon Park is a large country house with stunning grounds built between 1776 and 1783. It has had a troubled history, almost being demolished in 1952, but it is now a wonderful location for weekend fun.
(If you think the west facade looks familiar, then you are right: Basildon Park is Netherfield Park from the 2005 film of Pride and Prejudice.)
Important information:
- Dogs are welcome on leads.
- Trail leaflets cost £2 from Visitor Reception.
- Basildon Park is open from 10:00 to 16:00.
