Millets Farm

Millets Farm in Frilford offers a fantastic opportunity for a fun-filled family day out in Oxfordshire that can include your dog.

Buddy and I visited Millets Farm on a sunny Saturday morning. It was still the summer holidays, so the farm was a buzz with families enjoying the day together. Despite an almost full car park, however, the site was happy and pleasantly peaceful. The range of activities and different spaces available meant that no one area was too crowded.

Dogs are welcome on the site and in Frosts Garden Centre. There is an exercise area for dogs to the right hand side of the main drive and waste bins are provided.

We run through the various dog-friendly attractions that Millets Farm has to offer below:

Animal Walkway

The animal walkway provides a delightful encounter with a range of farm animals, including goats, rheas, sheep, cows, horses and alpacas. Buddy was particularly taken with the very friendly donkeys!

Phoebe Wood

Phoebe Wood can be accessed from the bottom of Animal Walkway. This beautiful, ten-acre site comprises of woodland and wetland walks along the banks of the River Ock. There are also picnic facilities.

Lower Lawn

The lower lawn comprises a picnic area, a play area, and fabulous views of the fishing lakes. It makes for the perfect place for you and your dogs to chill out and watch the ducks, or share a picnic, while children can enjoy the play area (complete with diggers).

Frosts Garden Centre

The Garden Centre offers a wide choice of plants and garden wares together with a large complimentary retail area selling clothing, childrens toys, furniture, gifts and much more. Frosts is fully dog-friendly, so feel free to bring in your dog to have a look around.

The Farmhouse Kitchen and The Potting Shed

While dogs aren’t allowed inside the restaurants, both The Farmhouse Kitchen and The Potting Shed have outside areas where dogs can join their owners for a bite to eat.

Dogs aren’t allowed everywhere unfortunately

Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted in the Farm Shop, Restaurant, PYO, Falconry and Maize Maze.

So if you are looking for a way to spend a dog-friendly afternoon in Oxfordshire, we thoroughly recommend Millets Farm.
